Air Quality Management Workshop

What is this workshop about?

Air Quality Management is necessary to ensure air quality by regulating various factors that cause air pollution. Fixed and mobile sources of air pollutant emissions along with additional sources of pollution are considered for managing air pollution. The objective of the Air Quality Management workshop is to acknowledge the growing importance of Environmental Engineering and to encourage students for taking up projects in the same. Participants, with the aid of case studies and software analysis, will develop skills needed to understand and apply air quality control measures at large-scale civil engineering projects.

• The program is designed to take the participants through the technical concepts involved in Civil Engineering
• This workshop provides a unique opportunity to practically experience a Civil Engineering project.
• Learning about the importance and application of Environmental engineering and air pollutant analysis.
• Good multimedia content to help students grasp the content easily.
• Practical knowledge gained from the program will help participants to take up B.tech/M.tech projects easily.

Course Structure and Topics Covered

Course Structure

This workshop is split into 2 modules:

• Lecture: Participants would be taught various concepts and techniques involved in Air Quality Management
• Practical session: This session would involve CAD based analysis of Air Pollution

Topics Covered

• Introduction to Environmental engineering and Air Quality Index
• Different sampling methods.
• Introduction to Dispersion Models
• Dispersion and trajectory analysis used in real life applications
• Analysis of different trajectory models and dispersion models using CAD based software.
• Case studies for better understanding the applications of Environmental engineering.
• Participants will be made to evaluate different problem statements given to them.

Participants have access to an exclusive online portal to:

• View status of registered and attended workshops
• View study material for workshops
• Write online exams and receive separate certificates with scores. These certificates with scores will provide students an opportunity to show their learning in job interviews.
